WHAT IS THE APOSTASY?
2 Thessalonians 2:3
Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day [ The Second Coming of Christ] will not come, unless the apostasy* comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,” * meaning: rebellion, falling away ( of the “church” or a believer from the truths of the Word of God as originally intended to be understood) into believing lies and error, false teachings, doctrines of men and demons) Just because the Apostasy has come does not mean that we have to participate
in it. In most churches it is not even recognized, is unmentioned, and almost never preached about from the pulpits. When is the last time you heard a sermon on apostasy and the need to get our doctrine straight?
How do we get the victory
over apostasy ?
Answer: 1) Before reading or hearing anything of another person’s doctrines or teachings, yield to the Holy Spirit and ask for confirmation of what is being taught, spoken, or written; 2) Ask the Holy Spirit to confirm what
you are reading as verifiable truths of the Word of God; 3) Let Scripture interpret Scripture; 4) Trust on Christ that you will not be deceived by what you read or hear, and be in-the-Spirit by yielding to Him and asking for a confirmatory witness of what you are reading or hearing; 5) Be baptized in the Holy Spirit and receive the gifts of The Spirit ( Acts 1:8; Acts 8:14-17; Lk.11:10-13) 6) When the Holy Spirit is confirming truths of what is being said to you in what you read or hear, there will be s gift of the Spirit operational, usually “Word of Knowledge” (Discernment), and a fruit of the Spirit (Peace-in your spirit-man (intuition and conscience), not peace of mind (soul ) See John 3:6).
